Binay Mohan Saud is a veteran leader and a foundational figure in Nepal’s telecommunications industry. As the Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Subisu Cablenet, he has been instrumental in transforming the company into a leading integrated communication service provider.
Professional Journey & Career
Mr. Saud’s career spans over 25 years, beginning in the public sector before he transitioned to entrepreneurship.
Early Experience: He started his career as an Electrical Engineer at the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in 1999, specifically working on the Dumre-Besishahar Rural Electrification Project.
The Inception of Subisu: In 2001, he co-founded Subisu with friends Sudhir Parajuli and Surendra Shrestha. Initially focused on cable television, he led the company’s expansion into data services, securing an ISP license in 2004.
CEO Tenure: Since taking the helm as CEO in December 2013, he has overseen the company’s exponential growth, extending its reach to over 64 districts and transitioning the infrastructure to high-speed Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and HD digital television.

Engineering: He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore (1996).
Advanced Training: He completed Senior Level Executive Training in Japan with the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation (AOTC) in 2011, focusing on management and operational efficiency.
Role at Subisu: During the company’s inception, he personally managed the planning and procurement of technical equipment, setting the foundation for Subisu’s network architecture.
