Recapping npNOG-11 in Kathmandu
The 11th edition of the Nepal Network Operators’ Group (npNOG-11) was held from June 15–20, 2025, at the Hyatt Centric, Kathmandu. Co-supported by ISPAN, this event is the premier technical summit for network professionals in the region.
The 2025 workshops were divided into three specialized tracks: ISP Core Masterclass, Network Automation, and Enterprise Security. With the government’s push for an “IT Decade,” the demand for local talent in managing MPLS cores and large-scale BGP routing is at an all-time high.
Hands-on Training: Participants spent 4 days in practical labs, mastering IPv6 dual-stack configuration and DDoS mitigation strategies.
Innovation: A special focus was placed on Network Function Virtualization (NFV), which allows ISPs to scale their infrastructure without massive hardware investments.
